1911 the Gun that Changed the World of Handguns

It is quite true. The 1911 that John Moses Browning created is what all all modern autos are made from. From Glocks to the Beretta 92 F, all have some part of Browning gun. This gun was made due to failure of the 38 Long Colt in the Spanish American War. Somebody had the bright idea that the more rounds you can quickly pump into a person the quicker they will die. Although the idea is true the 38 Long Colt is a poor choice due to the round is far too weak. All it did was tick off the person and who still had enough left in him to kill his attacker. It was so bad that our military when back to the 45 Colt near the end of the war. In steps John Moses Browning with his 1911 to fill in the gap where the 38 Long Colt failed. The gun was originally meant to be a calvary gun but this soon became redundant. The gun shoots a 45 cal with a Full Metal Jacket 230 grain bullet that Browning made himself. The US military welcomed this gun before WWI has stayed in our military even though the M-9 has taken over as the primary sidearm. Can you say history repeating its self with the M-9? It is with this gun's primary round is where I get some of my names. If you wish to learn more check out some of my posts. Oh and yes that 1911-A1 is mine.
